IF Moyes would walk or get the sack who would you like the owners to go for instead?
I´d want them to go for Graham Potter of Brighton

Over to you...

I'm surprised no one managed to, especially Man U , to prise Mancini away from the Italy job after they failed to qualify for the WC.

Wouldn't Boehly have had a list already to replace Tuchel, so the new list is just the same, minus Potter?

Read some reports that Boehly already has a list of replacements drawn up should Potter not work out.

Contingency planning makes sense, but that’s ridiculous (if true).

By the time we get round to deciding Moyes isn’t good enough to take us forward, Chelsea will probably have sacked Graham Potter. So there’s always that silver lining.

“ Nobody better equipped to turn things around “
Shades of nobody better than I have re Jan window .
Seems like Moyes himself worded that board statement.

Keen that whoever comes in next wants to play progressive attacking football.

Just thinking that it’s the international break this weekend, and we have Southgate’s brand of football to watch. Another ‘safety first’ borefest, unless we get wiped out again like we did vs. Hungary.

Depressing to see two massive dullards wasting great talent. Twats.

The Cowley Brothers have to be coming up on the radar at some point? They make it happen everywhere they go, and are currently pushing Portsmouth to new heights. Apparently they always have clauses in their contracts that says they are free to go if WHU come calling, so it looks like they see us as a possible destination eventually. I accept it's a big jump from Portsmouth, but they are gaining a lot of experience along the way.

Hey Poch, Promenade des Anglais or Stratford Broadway?

If I were the owners I'd be at least putting the feelers out and asking the question. And if he was game, would move Moyes on and get him in.

This!

Wellens has done well at League 2 level. He's managed League 1 teams twice. Both were relegated. Only a fool would appoint him to a PL club based on his history so far.

other (big) teams will move quickly when a managerial target looks like going somewhere else.

we will let Pochettino go to Nice then sack Moyes a few weeks later.

Take what Claret & Hugh says with a pinch of salt. If we don't win any of the next three Moyes will be out. If they don't bin him after 1 win in 10, the protests will surely start up again.

We need to get in a winning manner who is capable of getting the team playing. Leyton Orient have won 8 games out of 9 in League 2 this season and are smashing it (16 goals scored, only 4 conceded). Richie Wellens is the most promising up and coming English manager around and we would be fools not to appoint him to replace Moyes.

Nice, team lower half of Ligue 1 and in the Europa Conference League.

Yet some on here don't reckon we would have a chance of getting him.

Bad news for Poch advocates, looks like he's going to Nice.

If true, we are 100% fucked

Re: IF Moyes would walk or get the sack who would you like the owners to go for instead?
Despite a horrible start to the season which sees us in the bottom three. with our only win being at Aston Villa from seven games, ClareandHugh has learned there are no plans either now or in the future to sack him

The board has 100 per cent certainty there is no one else more capable than him of turning things around at the club and he will be given plenty of time to prove them right.

Many forum members, and we ourselves. have questioned whether the Scot will survive should things continue tp go wrong, and we suggested that if we are still in trouble come the Liverpool match on October 18, the axe may fall on the 59-year-old.

The Anfield match follows Premier League games against Fulham and Southampton with Conference clashes against Anderlecht due to be played on October 6th and 13th.

A key London Stadium source made it clear to CandH that the manager was “100 per cent safe” in his job as there is nobody out there “better equipped to turn things around.”

"Lionel SCALONI is doing a good job with Argentina."

Interesting punt, he kind of owes us an FA Cup if nothing else. Would have to wait until January.

Brooking/Noble until then?

Fischer has played three at the back in some games I have seen.

When they played Bayern (1-1) a couple weeks ago they played 5 at the back and very much looked like a good counter-attacking side.

Yeah I agree. Having such short stints everywhere is a concern.

Sampaoli did a good job at Marseille too but he never lasts very long either.

Lionel SCALONI is doing a good job with Argentina.
